Licking Park District Volunteer!
Qualifications
- Be an advocate for the Licking Park District. We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, friendly people who want to make a positive contribution to our programs and operations.
- Have an interest in the Licking Park Districts mission of preserving Licking Countys cultural and natural history. An interest in educating the public is a plus.
- Have the ability to interact positively and effectively with people.
- Be at least 14 years of age. Parental approval of participation is required if you are under 18 years of age.

Opportunities
Put your talents to use or learn new skills by helping us with one of our many projects. Below are just a few of the opportunities available.
- Living History Interpreter:
Assist staff in educating residents about our cultural and natural heritage. Demonstrate a craft or task. Dress in period clothing.
- Historian:
Assist staff in keeping records on Park District programs and facilities.
- Mounted Trail Patrol:
Ride your own horse and monitor trail conditions, usage and interact with visitors.
- Natural Resources Assistant:
Assist staff with land management activities (tree planting, prairie burns, mowing); conduct plant and animal surveys; wildlife management (bluebird box monitoring, wetland monitoring).
- Special Event Support:
Asisst with Community Easter Egg Hunt, Civil War Re-enactment, Cruise-In at the Park, Autumn Gathering, Haunted Park, and Christmas in the Country.
