News Bursts

Lobdell Reserve Temporarily Closed

Due to issues within the parking area at the Lobdell Reserve west entrance, the parking area will be closed until the issues can be rectified.  We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to be able to reopen the parking area soon.  The east parking area (disc golf course) also remains closed due to issues still related to the snow.  It will also reopen as soon as conditions permit.  Due to safety reasons we ask that visitors not park on the roads.

District has Levy Issue on May Ballot

The Park District is placing a .2 mil levy issue on the May 4 ballot. Faced with a 53% budget cut from the Licking County Commissioners, the District's primary source of funding,  the District is left with few options.  If the levy fails the District will not have any choice but to close facilities and cease operations in 2011.  To find out more about levy specifics, please visit the People for Parks web site.
